D2h6 - What court has jurisdiction where elements of the employment contract are located in different countries?

The conflict rules on jurisdiction laid down in international and European conventions, if applicable, and in national law determine which court has jurisdiction in the event of a dispute relating to an international employment contract by reference to a number of connecting factors such as, depending on the circumstances of each case, the address of either of the parties, the place of work or again the registered office of the employing establishment.

The rules on jurisdiction differ according to whether the dispute concerns an international employment contract involving several Member States of the European Union or an international employment contract involving a Member State and a State not belonging to the European Union (a third country).
