The Grand-Ducal Regulation of 19 May 2026 requires companies carrying out demolition or asbestos removal work to obtain a permit issued by the ITM.
This measure aims to ensure that companies have the necessary expertise, procedures, equipment and qualified personnel to work safely in the presence of asbestos.
A transitional period is provided until 1 May 2027 to allow the companies concerned to comply with these new requirements. At the end of this period, only holders of a valid permit will be authorised to carry out such work.
Companies concerned are encouraged to take the necessary steps now to ensure the continuity of their activities.
