The receipt in full and final settlement is used to record in writing all the sums that the employer has paid to the employee.
Nota Bene
By signing the receipt in full and final settlement, the employee acknowledges having obtained from the employer all the sums recorded in it.
The employee will therefore no longer be able to claim payment of the sums for the items listed in the full and final settlement.
The receipt in full and final settlement only has a discharging effect with regard to the employer in so far as it releases the employer from the payment of wages or allowances envisaged at the time of settlement.
