D4c1 - Is the employer obliged to deliver an exact and detailed statement to the employee at the end of each month?

Yes.

The employer is required to deliver to the employee at the end of each month, together with the last payment of wages or salary, an exact and detailed account.

The statement must indicate:

  • the method of calculation of the wage or salary;
  • the period of work and the total number of hours of work corresponding to the remuneration paid;
  • the rate of remuneration for the hours worked;
  • and any other emolument in cash or in kind.

When the employment contract is terminated, the statement must be issued and the wages or salaries still due must be paid on expiry of the employment contract within no more than 5 days.

Nota Bene

The issue of a monthly statement is not required either for domestic agricultural workers or for domestic workers who are not employed full time.
