Standardised Methods

The amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 15 July 1988 concerning the protection of workers against risks related to exposure to asbestos at work provides for the use of standardised methods for certain activities. These are activities for which the occupational exposure limit is not exceeded and whose working methods have been standardised and validated by the ITM.

Methods that are not compliant no longer meet the requirements of the amended Grand-Ducal Regulation of 15 July 1988.

To consult a standardised method in its entirety, please contact the inspection body responsible for supervising your asbestos removal project.

Please note that certain standardised methods are protected by copyright. It is the responsibility of the asbestos removal contractor to ensure that they hold the necessary rights to use such methods and, where applicable, to obtain the appropriate authorisation from the copyright holder.
