Definitions
A receipt in full and final settlement is a receipt which includes all the sums that the employer has paid to the employee and covers in full the wages and allowances due at the end of the employment contract.

A receipt in full and final settlement may be issued by the employee to his employer upon termination or expiry of his employment contract.

However, signing a receipt in full and final settlement is not mandatory.
