Both for internships provided for by a Luxembourg or foreign educational institution and for practical internships with a view to acquiring vocational experience, the intern is allocated a tutor by the internship supervisor, who is responsible for integrating him as best as possible into the undertaking, ensuring regular monitoring of his performance, answering his questions, providing him with advice and guidance and issuing, at the end of the internship and for internships of a duration of at least 4 weeks, a critical and detailed assessment.
For internships lasting less than 4 weeks, that is to say very short-term internships (“Schnupperstage”), the obligation on the tutor to produce a detailed and critical assessment does not apply, in so far as in such cases the administrative burden would be disproportionate for the undertaking.
