The maximum duration of a fixed-term “student” contract (CDD) is 24 months (2 years).
However, in accordance with Article L. 122-5, paragraph 3, of the Labour Code, this contract may be renewed beyond this limit, including more than twice, up to a maximum total duration of 60 months (5 years), without being deemed an open-ended contract.
