The general health and safety plan defines all the measures designed to prevent the risks related to simultaneous or successive activities of the various participants.
It outlines in particular, depending on the requirements:
- administrative information relating to the construction site (participants, emergency services, publicly owned enterprises, authorisations);
- risks that are specific to the project and the description of the works that present a risk to other companies;
- specific safety measures that are recommended or imposed for high-risk works, in particular in terms of planning, collective or individual protection;
- if necessary, constraints related to operating activities on the construction site;
- information relating to the organisation of rescue services;
- cooperation arrangements between participants, especially for collective protection, site cleaning, satisfactory maintenance of hygiene conditions, storage of dangerous products, waste disposal, roll on/off and lift on/off, construction site access, transit routes or zones enforced by the main contractor in cooperation with the coordinator;
- construction site regulations;
- the set-up and organisation of the construction site and and site facilities, including sanitary and social spaces, electricity connections and distributions, material and equipment provided by the company or companies for the completion of their work.
This plan will be completed and adapted according to the evolution of the construction site by the coordinator of the “site” phase. Any specific health and safety plan must be integrated into the general health and safety plan.
