Thanks to the close cooperation between the Department of Spatial Planning (Département de l’aménagement du territoire), the Environment Agency (Administration de l’environnement), the Luxembourg Regulatory Institute (Institut luxembourgeois de régulation) and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines a "GSM antenna registry" (Cadastre hertzien) was set up.
This registry shows the locations of base stations autorised pursuant to the amended Law of 10 June 1999 relating to classified establishments and provides information on over 1,000 2G, 3G and 4G mobile network antennas.
This register, known as the "GSM antenna registry" is integrated into the national geoportal of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and allows any person to obtain information on the site locations, the technical characteristics of the antennas, the power supplied to the antennas, and to view the operating permits as well as the monitoring reports.
