Thursday, February 1, 2024 (the 1st day of the month of the election announcement)
Date for calculating the staff count to determine the number of delegates to be elected.
Friday, February 9, 2024 (at least one month before the election)
- Posting, by the employer or their representative, a notice announcing the date, location, and time of the start and closing of the voting, as well as the number of delegates to be elected, the location where interested parties can view the list of candidates, the conditions for passive suffrage, and the number of employees included in the staff count used to calculate the total workforce in the company.
- Deadline for the employer or the staff delegation to submit a request for ministerial approval for absentee voting by mail.
Monday, February 19, 2024, by the evening (3 weeks before the election day)
- Deadline for the employer or their representative to submit the alphabetical lists of employees who meet the conditions for active and passive suffrage for consultation.
- Notice by posting that any claims against the list must be submitted to the employer and, for informational purposes, to the ITM within 3 working days of the submission.
- Communication of the election notice and the notice regarding the claim period to the ITM via the MyGuichet electronic platform.
From Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to Thursday, February 22, 2024 (within 3 working days of the submission)
- Deadline for submitting claims, if any, against the alphabetical lists to the employer.
Monday, February 26, 2024, by 6 p.m. (15 calendar days before the opening of the election)
- Deadline for submitting candidacies.
- In case of absence or insufficient candidates, an extension of 3 days for submitting candidacies until Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 6 p.m.
- If the election is conducted under the proportional representation system, the deadline for requesting a ranking number from the ITM director.
Wednesday, March 6, 2024 (at the latest, 4 working days before the election)
- Recording of valid candidacies via the electronic platform, including the name, first name, profession, national registration number, nationality, and gender of the candidates.
In the case of absentee voting: Friday, March 1, 2024 (10 days before the election)
- By Friday, March 1, 2024, sending by registered mail to absentee voters the voting ballots with a notice containing election instructions.
- Posting of candidacies in the company from Friday, March 1 to Monday, March 11, 2024.
In the case of elections without absentee voting: Thursday, March 7, 2024 (the last 3 working days before the election)
- Posting of candidacies in the company from Thursday, March 7 until Monday, March 11, 2024.
In case the voting spans several days, notably between March 10 and 12, 2024, the posting of candidacies must be advanced accordingly. The closing and counting of the vote must take place on March 12, 2024.
Tuesday, March 12, 2024 – Election Day
- Establishment of the voting bureau.
- Opening of the vote at the time specified in the election notice.
- Voting.
- Closing of the vote at the time specified in the election notice.
- Counting of the vote (immediately after the closing of the vote).
- Preparation of an official record of the election proceedings via the electronic platform.
- Submission of the official record to the ITM via the electronic platform.
From Wednesday, March 13 to Friday, March 15, 2024 (within 3 consecutive days after the election)
- Posting, by the employer, the list of elected delegates (regular and alternate).
From Saturday, March 16 to Tuesday, April 2, 2024 (within 15 days following the last day of posting the result)
- Period for submitting disputes related to the electoral process and the regularity of the election procedures, by registered letter addressed to the ITM director.
From Wednesday, April 3, 2024 (not before the expiration of the 15-day period following the last day of posting the result)
- The delegation's installation cannot take place before Wednesday, April 3, 2024, and, in case of dispute, not before the decision of the ITM director.
By Friday, April 12, 2024, at the latest (within a month of the election day)
- The meeting to form the delegation is called by the employee who received the highest number of votes in the election. In the case of an election by default (if no election took place), the meeting will be convened by the oldest effective delegate under the same conditions.
Within 3 days following the formation meeting
- The president of the delegation must communicate, in writing, to the employer the names, first names, and national registration numbers of the president, vice-president, secretary, equality delegate, health and safety delegate, and the members of the board.
Within 5 days following the formation meeting
- A record of the formation meeting detailing the election of the board, president, vice-president, secretary, board members, equality delegate, health and safety delegate, and the implementation of Article L.415-5 of the Labor Code will be sent to the employer and to the ITM.
Within 5 days after the communication of the delegates' roles to the employer
- The employer communicates via the electronic platform the names, first names, and national registration numbers of the president, vice-president, secretary, equality delegate, health and safety delegate, and the members of the board to the ITM.
Please note that deadlines are extended until the first working day following when the last day falls on a Sunday, a public holiday, or a non-working day in the company.
